Agent Roundtables

Wow… Each of the five agent roundtables I participated in turned out great. They were awesome learning opportunities as I prepare for the final draft of Lyrics & Other Felonies. That’s not to say I didn’t fluctuate between anxious and pumped. Getting direct feedback on your work requires a tough skin (something I’m still developing).

Overall comments were positive. Some minor tweaks to make and one large one I’m considering—rewriting in first person, versus third. One agent recommended giving it a try with the first three chapters to see if it goes where I want it to. If not, third worked.

Once the next draft is ready, I’ll query the three agents that offered to read it again.
